Lovely meal for my fiancé's birthday at the Pickled Chef restaurant, the Manager,I think it was, took, exceptionally care and listened to our requests, and fulfilled them all. 10/10.The waiting staff appeared to be very young and whilst they were really trying to be helpful and give excellent service, they may be a little inexperienced (and tbh who hasn't been in that position.) so there were a couple of mistakes with our order, but these mistakes were quickly attended to and apologies made, the food was fantastic the chef deserves complimenting as they did a great job with my Catch of the day with root vegetables, my fiancé had the scallop and prawn hot rock dish which she enjoyed and added a little bit of fun to the experience. The atmosphere and view are amazing,a lovely chilled vibe. Overall a great evening and I would definitely recommend you give it a try- Food

Great location, views and atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was substandard. Food from the grill looked good, but everything else wasn't great. Seafood in the linguine was poor (and was actually fettuccine). Mussels overcooked and tasteless sauce. Mac and cheese just pasta in milk! Stick to the steak or seafood platter...

Awful lunch at the pickled chef. First of all greasy tables and a lovely greasy menu can’t beat that! All fried food from Costco/bookers. Recognised the salt and pepper squid when I used to work in a pub 🤢 Nothing fresh and poor menu. Was told it would be heaving so we needed to book asap. It was dead as a dodo.
£5 for a finger nail of coleslaw. Oily doubled fried chips 🤢
I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years and for the price this was very very poor.- Wait time
